Each of our three distinctive Colleges offers intensive concentration within a major field as well as creative challenging possibilities for personal exploration and growth. Whatever your child’s interest, he or she will feel right at home. Here, your child will find other individuals who share a passion for the creative process, and for making a lasting impact on our society through individual expression. The curriculum combines majors with real depth and a strong professional focus with a rich experience of the liberal arts – such areas as literature, history, psychology, and the sciences. The liberal arts component inspires and enriches our students’ creative work, and helps them grow as thoughtful people, better prepared to make a difference in the world. Your child’s safety and happiness are a priority at UArts. Our campus is drug and alcohol free and we employ strict security policies on our attractive campus. With a 12-to- 1 student/faculty ratio, we can provide for your child’s every need. Each program and student service is designed to allow students to grow and mature in every aspect their lives. Our acclaimed faculty and state-of-the-art facilities really can make a difference in every student’s life. Freshman are encouraged, but not required, to live in one of our four on-campus residence halls. All student residences are furnished and have separate bathroom and kitchen facilities. Each building has laundry facilities and 24-hour security and maintenance. All residence halls are "smoke free." The only pets permitted in the residences are fish. On-campus housing is guaranteed to new students who commit to student housing by June 1. After June 1, housing is available for new students on a first-come, first-served basis, with priority given to out-of-town students. To lighten the financial burden on families, we offer a wide array of grants, scholarships, work-study placements, and flexible payment plans. Last year, for example, we disbursed over $6.8 million in financial aid and scholarships to undergraduate students.
